COVID-19 has created a shift in our daily routines.
National and regional regulations are constantly changing, so it’s impossible to predict what next week, never mind what next month will bring. But we’re going to do our best to tell you some noticeable habit changes people have adopted across the world.
Some changes are more predictable than others, such as washing hands and using hand sanitizer frequently. We are adhering to social distancing guidelines and stocking up on food, water, and toilet paper, as well as disinfecting our houses, and surroundings.
Others are more troubling, like worrying in case you lose your job. It has become normal to live on a knife-edge with the virus and staying vigilant about our interactions with others is now commonplace.
People are now shopping online like never before because they don’t feel safe in the stores. Many of us are doing our daily workouts at home rather than visiting the gym, which is either closed, or we just don’t feel comfortable going there anymore. It’s not known when it will feel safe to interact with large amounts of people again. Will people ever feel at ease to walk around mask-free again?
When the pandemic eventually does end, the way you live your life will be up to how comfortable you feel with your new habits and whether you reverse them. In the future, we may always be on our guard, as now we know how unpredictable the world can be.
Continue to create your own priorities and support each other through these unprecedented times. Remember, in the end, we’ll be better, together.
